GREATSITE.COM Presents  King James Bible The Holy Bible. Oxford: Baskett, 1726 . Large quarto. 10 x 8.25 x 3.5 inches. Engraved general title-page with “ Mt. Tabor” and “Ten Commandments.” Engraved title reads Printed and Sold by Richard Ware at the Bible and Sun in Amen Corner. Revelation ends at O4a followed by integral Index and Tables, then Downame’s Concordance, London: Leach, 1726. Preceded by The Book of Common Prayer with Church of England Psalter, 39 Articles, etc. by Baskett of Oxford, 1726. Very light general wear. Generally fine but for a few old repairs, some of which obscure a tiny bit of text here and there, most notably in the Epistles. Full modern calf by Starr Bookworks of Arizona, ruled and decorated in blind. Red morocco spine label. Herbert 974.
