The Holy Bible. Cambridge, John Archdeacon, 1775

Small folio. 11.25 x 9 x 4.25 inches. Complete but for general title-page; has the dramatic engraved frontispiece. Bound at front is The Book of Common Prayer and Church of England Psalter, without preliminaries, picking up at quire C: “Order for Morning Prayer.” After integral Index at back is a 1777 London Downame Concordance and a 1771 Sternhold and Hopkins Metrical Psalter, complete.

Intermittent light foxing. Nn4 and [5] with repaired loss affecting text. Other light wear and small repairs. Overall, near fine.

Full dark speckled calf by Starr Bookworks of Arizona, ruled and decorated in blind with burgundy morocco spine label. Herbert 1247.
